WEB DESIGN - CASE STUDY
Web design & development project.
OLD WEBSITE DESIGN
Following an initial consultation and review process, a comprehensive website redevelopment strategy was created to address the shortcomings of the existing site. The schematic layout and page structure were carefully planned and agreed upon, ensuring that the user journey, navigation, and overall site architecture aligned with both the business objectives and the needs of prospective customers.
Once the framework had been established, the website's visual identity, messaging, and content strategy were completely reviewed and refined. New imagery and video content were sourced and incorporated throughout the site to better showcase the company's capabilities, services, and expertise. Existing copy was rewritten and expanded to provide clearer information, improve customer engagement, and communicate the company's value proposition more effectively.
The website design was modernised to create a more professional and credible online presence, reflecting the high standards of the engineering services provided by the business. Particular attention was given to usability and accessibility, ensuring visitors could quickly find relevant information and navigate the site with ease.
To support the growing number of users accessing websites via mobile devices, the new website was developed using a fully responsive framework. This ensured a seamless browsing experience across desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones, delivering consistent functionality and performance regardless of screen size or device type.
NEW WEBSITE DESIGN
A detailed Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) review was also undertaken as part of the redevelopment project. This included the optimisation of page titles, meta descriptions, image alt tags, keyword targeting, and on-page content structure. Technical improvements were implemented to enhance search engine crawlability and indexing, while search engine submissions and verification processes were completed to ensure the website could be properly discovered and ranked by major search engines.
A local sub-contract engineering company had established a basic online presence, but its website was underperforming in almost every key area. The site lacked a clear message, compelling content, and a modern, professional design that reflected the quality of the company's engineering services.
The website provided little information about the business's capabilities, experience, or specialist services, making it difficult for visitors to understand the value the company could offer. In addition, the overall user experience was poor, with limited opportunities to encourage customer engagement or enquiries.
Search engine visibility was also severely restricted. Due to the website's low-quality build, absence of structured content, and lack of a comprehensive SEO strategy, the site achieved little to no organic search presence. This meant the business was missing valuable opportunities to attract new customers and compete effectively within its market.
The result was a modern, content-rich, and search-engine-friendly website that not only presented the business in a more professional manner but also provided a strong foundation for improved online visibility, increased website traffic, and the generation of new customer enquiries.
“I'm very impressed with my new website. The process was seamless, we had an initial meeting - Enginuity went away created all the content and imagery and built the site within a week at a very reasonable cost.”
